I have sad news about reunion pictures... I had been working on the group pictures I'd taken at the reunion - fixing the lighting (it ended up being very dark) and such, and foolishly, was still working from my memory card.
The kids had a scavenger hunt a few weeks ago, which was great fun -- they had three teams that had to go out and photograph items, as well as them doing various things (the funeral for a dead bug was probably my favorite).
And, well, I had to make some room on my memory card and so I scrolled through and picked out several that I didn't care about, and asked my computer (quite nicely, I might add) to delete those particular photos. My computer was not agreeable and just plain lazy, I suspect, and instead of deleting those pictures, it just deleted the whole directory. And you can probably guess which directory.
If it had deleted just the wrong photos, I could have gone into my recycle bin and taken them out. But, since it was an entire directory off my memory card... They are gone forever.
