Is this a high/low game? I knew two (yes, 2) answers: I recognized the parliment building from Victoria and I knew who wrote "The Life of Pi," though I didn't know he was Canadian. Perhaps I could also get a half point for Hockey being an official sport, though I thought the other one would be curling. Maybe another 1/3 point for knowing Calgary hosted the games (completely forgot about Montreal... d'oh). And for number 9 my answer was "probably those #@&* french canadians...," is that close enough for points?

Well, I guess I'm doing the best so far--although it isn't that great. I got 15/25. I did kick myself that I didnt' get some of the answers, such as the population of Canada. I thought I had heard we were up to 34 million--my mistake. And no bonus points for me! So, thanks again for showing me how little I know!

Don't worry about it - We made a hard quiz this year. Lots of the questions were really idiosyncratic. But where are everyone else's scores? Come-on everyone - don't be shy.

Was the one last year too easy for people?

Well I'm not as great as mom with a score of 11/25 but considering how well I did in Social in High School, I'm quite pleased with my score. I'm actually surprised at some of the answers I got (like Metis and Quebecois) and of corse kicking myself for some of the others (how could I forget about Feist?). And we had a live hit from Quebec on our morning show yesterday for the celebration of Quebec's 400th birthday, I guess going to work benefits me in more ways than financially.
Anyway thanks for the quiz by the way I thought it was a bit ironic we're doing this quiz on July 4th.

I got 10! I was impressed. I gave myself half a point b/c I said the radio station played ONLY Canadian songs (I didn't know they were indi), and another half point for the snowman picture b/c I wrote "Quebec Winter something"...

Amy - I'm not that harsh of a judge: I would give you one point for each of your answers (they were close enough)

And Holly - it wasn't so much that the other test was too easy. It's more that the quiz is supposed to inform as much as to test your knowledge. With the last quiz, the questions were just too basic I though. So don't feel bad if your score wasn't super high - I is supposed to be difficult.

Randy,

I see you stay away from controversial topics like Canadian inventors inventing in the USA. As for people that won't go to war, my guess was Hutterites but I guess it didn't meet the proper time frames - rats. Also, I didn't know there was a "Work Less Party" - where can I sign up?

Thanks for doing this again this year. I especially like the questions that involve places I've been. For example the Quebec Winter Carnaval and 1608, the Bay of Funday, etc. Good job.

By the way, my score was 16/25.
