Good times - Good GK reunions

I have to many good memories to list them all here - but just a few
1. The horseback ride from Leavitt to Beazer - 12 horses and 12 grandkids - all going in different directions.
2. The haunted house and sometimes sleeping dorm across the street .
3. The T shirt game where we each received one of Grandpa's T shirts in a sack (no peeking) and then sang a song and each time we heard a certain word we had to pass the sack to the left or right - at the end of the song we won (?) the shirt we were holding
4. The wind blowing down our tent in Waterton and all of us crowding into our little travel trailer for the night.
5. The "older" grandkids talking Grandpa into taking a young Samwise to see "Independence Day" I set close to Sam and put my hand over his eyes whenever the weird alien appeared.
6. The play about going to the Red Rooster - with Randy playing Mr. Schow - the owner. And the fake beards!
7. Transporting kids from place to place using the back of my pickup truck (it had a topper).
8. All the fun "horsing around" that happened. We had a time schedule posted with weird times like 2:17 - 3:24 - Arts and crafts, which everyone would check ten times a day. Especially the meal times.
9. Addy and Adriana as the happy princesses in one play - and they looked anything but happy.

Reunion Reunion

Amy's Right - the Reunion is a week away. So to get everyone excited, why don't we use this blog to share our favorite memories from Cottle Reunions in the past. What do you remember about our past outings? I'd have to say that one of my favorite Cottle Family Reunion traditions were the amazing theater productions that were performed at the grandkids reunions. I mean, who can forget David's immortal words from the blockbuster play, The House on Cottle Hill: "Hey everybody - I'm a Witch."

So give us some of you favorite times, either in the comments section or as a new post.

What I found today...

Since I am so enthusiastic about Astronomy, my home page when I open my "internet browser" is a NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day. Every day I look at the picture, read the description and learn more about space. Most of the pictures are so cool I have to save them. But not all of them are of some nebula or star cluster. What was on there today made me smile and I wanted to share it with you. It would be so cool to go around and do this.

Astronomy Picture of the Day

Click play and then stop so it can load, then it won't hesitate while you watch it.

Sooooooooooooo bummed!!!

I have to regretfully write, that as of now, I will not be able to attend the Reunion. I have a little complication called placenta previa. If you don't know what that is google it.  My doctors are just concerned with the traveling and not being close to a hospital during my travels. I may be able to fly, which is a little better because it is faster than in the car, but is expensive, and there is still a risk. The reason they are so concerned is that at any time I could start bleeding and probably nothing will happen, but then there is the what if. I am sooooooooooooooooooo bummed that we can not come, and was looking so forward to it. I am having another Ultra sound on the 23 of July  and If by some miracle and a lot of fasting it has moved a little bit, I may be able to come. So, keep your fingers crossed and I will let you know. So save us a spot just in case grandpa and grandma=). If we don't see you this summer,  I hope you all have a fun time and hope to see you soon. Take care.
