To continue with Grandpa's theme, I thought I would share our current situation up in the Great White North, and I do mean white. Last Thursday, we had a big storm move in and just dump on us, then on Saturday morning another system moved in dumping even more snow on us, bringing with it a bitterly cold Arctic high. This came after some wonderful weather that made you excited that winter was almost over. I've heard all across Alberta, record lows have been shattered and even some record low highs (I hope that makes sense). 2 days ago, we broke the low temp at the international airport by 14 degrees making it down to minus 43 Celsius. So while the snow has moved off and it is actually sunny, it's been bitterly cold. Here's some pics to enjoy. Disclaimer - I realize these are at night but the sun was shining.
We made it! Now residing in sunny, warm Scottsdale, AZ - at least for three weeks. We left Cardston last Wednesday, traveled to Denver where we enjoyed two fun filled days with the Wursten clan (those kids stole my heart in a big hurry). Then we moved onward to AZ, arriving in Scottsdale on Sunday evening. Today it was 84F and we enjoyed a warm golf game this morning. Forecast is for 80+ for the rest of the week. If you need to get in touch, just e-mail (I check the e-mail each day) or phone at 540 460 5546.
Simply because it has become impossible for me to not be impressed with my kids' achievements and abilities, I must share with you Sam's SAT scores. I hope you will all be similarly impressed. If you are not aware of the possible scoring range, let me know...
Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that Amy and I have set up a blog for her to chronicle her upcoming adventure. It might be a little while before she gets the time to start writing in it, but keep an eye on the link for when she starts uploading.
