Happy Thanksgiving

I just just wanted to wish everyone celebrating today, a Happy Thanksgiving. Does anyone have some leftover turkey I could have... I don't know what to make for dinner tonight.
Anyway Happy Thanksgiving again, and let the Christmas season begin!

Humble Pie

All right, I eating a little humble pie. Yesterday in HP Quorum meeting the teacher ask someone to define the term "Broken Heart and Contrite Spirit." I immediately said, "BYU Fans!" As I said last week, I am happy for Utah, but still think they should be ranked higher in the polls and higher in the BCS. We'll see how it all plays out in the next couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone who added a comment. It was a fun week.

Football Anyone

Well, this is the big week - Utah-BYU football week. Everyone knows I am a long time BYU fan, but this year I have mixed feelings. While I would like to see the Cougars win I also would like Utah to win and throw a monkey wrench into the smug, totally useless, just in it for the $$$$ - BCS (someday I will tell you how I really feel about the Bowl Coalition). The last two years it has come down to a last second play (will Cougar fans be chanting "Collie is still open" - or will the Utes be saying "Hall sacked on crucial play"). In reading the DN this morning I found out that, "Aside from Utah's big victory in its unbeaten 2004 season, the other 10 Utah-BYU games since 1997 have been decided by a touchdown or less." Based on that it should be a close game. But I'm not sure just which way to cheer. Any advice out there?

Baby!!!!

I'm a little hesitant to steal Jamie's thunder, however I spoke with her earlier this evening and she was pretty drugged ("Thank heaven for percocet" was one of the things she said) so I'll break the news.

Kyle Wursten joined the family early, early this morning - at about 2:00 am. Baby is doing very well, and I understand he's very cute. He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 20 inches, which makes him Jamie's tallest baby!

Jamie had a little trouble recovering, (she said the bleeding didn't stop as soon as everyone would have liked) but she said that she's fine, they're just going to keep her at the hospital for a bit to make sure everything's ok.

Where is everybody?

Hey everybody, where are you are? Has everyone become so busy they can't keep up with this stimulating blog? I would love to hear from some (all) of you. So, here's some excitment up our way--Jeff will be coming home on Dec. 4! I can't wait. His very good friend just came home about 2 weeks ago and came to visit us and it was so nice. I think Jeff will be having his homecoming on Dec. 14. You are all invited.

So, no other great news. We had a great halloween. Bailey is at the age when it's just very fun. We had fantastic weather, so she was able to trick or treat for HOURS. Thank goodness she had several adults to take turns with her. Unforuantely, there was a tiny bit of snow today. Luckily none of it stuck, although Bailey would like it to snow, as then she knows her birthday is getting closer.

Are you all happy about the election results? I think the US election got more coverage up here than the Canadian election, I feel like I've been in the thick of two elections.

Well, hope you are all doing well. Jamie, have you had your baby yet?!
